Is Quebec’s territory uncertain?

The organization of les Intellectuels pour la souveraineté (IPSO) invited Professor emeritus Jean-Paul Lacasse, of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa to participate in its first debate that took place on September 19th. As non-partisan speaker, Prof. Lacasse, answered many questions relating to the rights of indigenous peoples. Author of a recent publication released with Septentrion in 2011, Le Québec : territoire incertain, Prof. Lacasse addressed the consequences of thePlan Nord and the territoriality challenge that is raised by Quebec achieving sovereign status. With Louis Bernard and André Binette, Prof. Lacasse wished to remind the audience of the importance of adopting a more open and generous approach toward aboriginal peoples.
