Academic freedom is quickly deteriorating in Brazil since president Bolsonaro’s rise to power last January. This roundtable will discuss policy and budgetary changes implemented over the year in Brazil, how they are affecting scholars, universities and researchers in the government sector, and similar trends in other Latin American countries.
