HRREC becomes the 50th member of the Association of Human Rights Institutes

The Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC) is delighted to announce our membership to the Association of Human Rights Institutes (AHRI). The Centre became the 50th member of AHRI and the only one in the Americas. The Associations’ objective is to promote research, education and discussion in the field of human rights. John Packer, HRREC Director, participated and presented at the AHRI Human Rights Research Conference along with Siobhan Airay and Salvador Herencia, two PhD students members of the Centre. The conference was hosted by the Danish Institute for Human Rights and the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen (September). The event brought together 200 participants from over 100 different institutions around the world and featured 90 presentations and plenary sessions under the theme "Human Rights Under Pressure: Exploring norms, institutions, and policies".
