The event, organized as part of the Black History Month, will bring together Neuberger-Jesin Professor John Packer, HRREC member Slava Balan, Ph. D. candidate in law and graduates of the Fall 2020 online course Human Rights & Governance: The Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) to Policy, Law and Development (DCC4119). The speakers will discuss the challenges of anti-Black racism from an HRBA perspective and the students will make brief presentations on aspects of the application of the HRBA to the chosen topic.
