May 17, 2011 – Benoît Frate, Ph.D. Candidate in Law at the University of Ottawa and member of the HRREC, is the recipient of a Doctoral Fellowship from the Joseph-Armand-Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program awarded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Of a duration of three years, the scholarship will allow him to continue his research on the relationship between cities and international human rights law. Benoît has also received offers of scholarships from the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC) and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGS), which he had to decline.
