Amicus to the Supreme Court of Mexico

The Human Rights Clinic of the Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC) and the Due Process Law Foundation (DPLF), along with leading Latin American NGOS, submitted on September 30 an amicus to the Mexican Supreme Court regarding the international standards of prior consultation regarding the use of genetically modified soy beans in the territory of Mayan communities.

This is the first time that a case on prior consultation will be addressed by the Supreme Court of Mexico.
