The HRREC is pleased to welcome Korina Jocson, Fulbright Chair in Human Rights and Social Justice 2017!
Korina Jocson, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Central to her research are arts-informed sociocultural approaches for examining the ways in which young people engage in different modes of expression in their lives. Examples include writing and media production (broadly construed) not only as representations of everyday literacies but also as forms of critical engagement. She primarily draws on qualitative inquiry and works directly with teachers, students, youth advocates, and other partners in education.
Professor Jocson's office is located at the Human Right Research and Education Centre (Fauteux Hall, 5th floor, room 544).
