Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health
299 Montreal Road, Ottawa
This event is by invitation only.
The Symposium will address the broad topic of “The Arts and Human Rights” and will comprise participants on the basis of invitations issued by the HRREC. It will provide the opportunity for a range of invited scholars and practitioners to exchange initial reflections and perspectives and identify key elements of the relationship between the Arts and Human Rights, notably in terms of an analytical framework, parameters, language, and a possible typology. The exchange will guide subsequent undertakings within the Arts and Human Rights Program at the Centre and will inform issues and questions for a prospective research and education agenda.
